FAQs
Find answers to common questions about our audio-visual services and packages.
What is event technology?
Great question. Event technology is the broad industry term for any form of technology used in staging events of any size. It covers all audio-visual services required to stage an event, from pre-visualisation software through to the combination of audio, lighting and visual elements used to communicate information and enhance the event experience.
In layman’s terms, the lights, screens, cameras, microphones and sound systems—that’s us!
I need to book AV and have no idea where to start, can you help?
Of course! We’re here to help. There are no silly questions. If you need help getting the ball rolling, just call or email our friendly team. We’ll talk through your event, your vision and what you’re trying to achieve, then offer suggestions, outline options, and put together a clear, tailored quote.
How far out do I need to book my AV?
For larger or more complex events, we recommend engaging an AV supplier three to six months in advance. AV is often one of the biggest logistical elements, so the more time we have, the better we can support your vision and fine-tune the details.
For smaller events, four to six weeks is usually enough. That said, it’s never too early to start the conversation—some events take years to plan and we’re happy to help at any stage.
I need last-minute AV, can you help?
We’d love to! Last-minute requests and curveballs are our specialty. If you need a fast solution, contact us today—we’ll do everything we can to make it happen.
My venue has an in-house supplier, can we still use you?
In most cases, yes. Unless the venue has a strict “lock-out” policy, you are usually free to choose your own AV supplier. If you have a quote from the venue’s supplier, we’re happy to provide an alternative so you can compare. Get in touch for a free quote.
We're a charity looking for event sponsorship, can you help?
We love being part of South Australia’s vibrant community and sponsor a number of charity events each year. If you’re planning a not-for-profit event, get in touch—we’d love to chat about how we can help.
I need something special for my event, can you help with ideas?
Absolutely. Give us a call, shoot us an email or pop into our purpose-built premises in Thebarton—we’d love to hear about your event and show you what we can do.
Do you price match?
If you have a quote for comparable equipment and services, we can usually beat it. Reach out for a no-obligation quote today.
My event is in a regional town, do you travel?
Yes, we do!
We provide services all over South Australia and are often travelling to regional towns to provide AV and staging services. If you’re planning a regional event, contact our friendly team—we can talk you through options and logistics and provide you with an obligation-free quote.
Do you dry hire equipment?
(Follow-up question… what is a dry hire?). A dry hire is hiring equipment without any technical support. We do dry hire a limited range from our inventory. If you are looking for a specific piece of equipment, reach out today and we’ll do our best to help.
Can you meet me at our chosen venue to talk through our AV options?
Absolutely. Contact our friendly team to set up a site visit at your venue—we’d be more than happy to walk through your options and then provide an obligation-free quote.
I have quotes from multiple suppliers, why does the equipment all look different for the same service?
I have booked a band or DJ and I'm not really sure what they’re providing, can you help?
Can you integrate with other production partners or suppliers?
Do you provide detailed technical specs and site plans?
Do you have public liability insurance?
Can you deliver a full show with show calling, cueing and live mixing?
Can I dry hire just the gear?
Do you have experience with high-profile or sensitive events?
Can you operate within tight bump-in/out schedules or shared loading docks?
Do you offer rehearsal support or technical run-throughs?
Can I speak directly with the operator who’ll be running the event?
Do you travel interstate?
While our core focus is South Australia, we have travelled interstate for clients with multi-city requirements. If you’re planning a touring event or exhibition, let’s talk.
